TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Defiance College’s men’s cross country team garnered 802 total points on their way to a 29th place finish in the NCAA Div. III Great Lakes Regional Championships on Saturday, November 14. The meet marks the final competition of the season for the 2009 men’s cross country team.

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The men’s cross country team placed fifth overall in the HCAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday, garnering 147 points in the race. Manchester College senior Andy Williams won his second consecutive individual title to lead the Spartans to their first ever conference championship.

OBERLIN, Ohio – The Defiance College men’s harriers competed in the Oberlin Invitational on Saturday, October 17, placing 24th overall with 739 points. New York University took the men’s team title.

DELAWARE, Ohio – The Defiance men’s cross country team competed in the All-Ohio Championships held at the Delaware Golf Club on Friday. The team finished 16th among Div. III school, and 32nd overall. Ohio Northern University took the team title for Div. III schools.

BLUFFTON, Ohio – The men’s cross country team won the Bluffton Invitational decisively on Friday, placing seven runners in the top eight, and 11 in the top 15. DC recorded 18 points in the meet, edging out conference foe Bluffton University who finished in second place with 49 points. Owens Community College placed third with 71 points.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio – The Defiance men’s cross country team placed 11th in the annual Friendship Invitational on Saturday, September 19. The team was able to accomplish this without their leading runner, Justin Perkins.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College men’s cross country team scored 71 points in the DC Classic, finishing third overall for the second straight year. Huntington University earned the title, scoring 24 points as they placed five runners in the top eight.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The first ever HCAC men’s cross country preseason poll was recently released by the league office. The Yellow Jackets were picked to finish sixth in the HCAC and placed three runners on the Preseason Watch List.
