Men’s Cross Country Places Fifth at HCAC Championship
CINCINNATI, Ohio – The men’s cross country team placed fifth overall in the HCAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday, garnering 147 points in the race. Manchester College senior Andy Williams won his second consecutive individual title to lead the Spartans to their first ever conference championship.

Justin Perkins paced the Yellow Jacket harriers, completing the 8k course in 28:32 for a 24th place finish. Freshman runner Hayden Krick finished 19 seconds later to claim a 30th place finish for Defiance. Logan Alvarez (28:55), Aaron Fraley (29:30) and Tyler Reese (29:49) finished out the top five DC runners.
The Jackets will return to action on Saturday, November 14, when they travel to Terre Haute, Ind., to compete in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships.
