Tailgating Policy
Tailgating is permitted in the Defiance College athletic facility parking areas at sanctioned intercollegiate athletic events ONLY and is prohibited anywhere else on campus property. Tailgating may begin at 10 a.m. and must end one hour after the game ends. All supplies must be properly disposed or stored upon departure. Approved actions and activities include gas grills, portable outdoor furniture, pop-up tents (as long as they do not block aisle or other parking spaces), and consumption of alcohol by persons of legal drinking age (in accordance to applicable state and city laws and College policies). Kegs, open fires, glass containers of any kind, and disruptive music or noise are strictly prohibited.
Tailgaters are expected to respect other persons and property, properly dispose of trash, cooperate with all law enforcement authorities and College personnel, and comply with all applicable laws, policies, and ordinances. Any violations of tailgating rules may result in removal from campus or possible legal action. To view the complete Tailgating Policy, click here.
