Defiance Men Finish Third at DC Invitational
DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College men’s cross country team scored 71 points in the DC Classic, finishing third overall for the second straight year. Huntington University earned the title, scoring 24 points as they placed five runners in the top eight.

Goshen College's Ben Bouwman won the men's race finishing the 8k in 27:44. Huntington University placed three runners in the top four as Joseph Njeri, Lance Wood and Ethan Medley finished second, third and fourth respectively.
Justin Perkins led the way for the Yellow Jackets finishing sixth overall with a time of 29:02. Freshman Hayden Krick finished 12th overall, with a time of 29:34, while Logan Alvarez placed 16th coming in at 30:16. Ryan Green and Aaron Fraley rounded out the scoring for Defiance, finishing 18th and 19th overall.
The DC cross country team will travel to Cedarville, Ohio, on September 19, to compete in the Cedarville Invitational.
