
NEW ORLEANS – For the fifth time in six seasons, the Yellow Jacket women’s cross country team has recorded a cumulative GPA above a 3.10 and been named to the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic List.

ANDERSON, Ind. – On a November afternoon where you couldn’t have asked for any better weather, the Defiance College women’s cross country team wrapped up its season with the Division III National Collegiate Athletic Association Great Lakes Regional Championships hosted by Anderson College.

BLUFFTON, Ohio – The DC women’s cross country team competed at the annual Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday, October 27. DC placed eighth overall on the day with a score of 235 points. The meet was held at Bluffton’s 6k course.

WILMINGTON, Ohio – Sophomore Sadie Daeger led the way for the DC’s women’s cross country team Friday, October 12 at the Wilmington Fall Classic. The Defiance native was one of three runners to set career times on the day, as she bested her old record by 1:42 with a time of 21:59.48.

CEDERVILLE, Ohio – The DC women’s cross country team participated in the annual All-Ohio Championships in Cedarville, Ohio on Saturday, September 29. Junior Ericha Griep finished first for the Yellow Jackets with a time of 22:43.05. She finished 244th overall, while being 119th amongst NCAA Division III schools.

ERIE, Pa. – The DC women’s cross country competed in the Penn-State Behrend Invitational on Saturday, September 15. Sophomore Brianna Rodriguez finished first for the Yellow Jackets and 52nd overall with a time of 22:57.

BLUFFTON, Ohio – The Lady Harriers for Defiance College placed third on Saturday, September 8 when they competed in the Bluffton Cross Country Invitational for their second meet of the year.

N. MANCHESTER, Ind. – The DC Lady Harriers had two pairs run in the Hokem Karem meet as sophomores Sadie Daeger and Brianna Rodriguez finished in 11th while senior Alisha Kazlausky and sophomore Marissa Bussard finished in 14th.

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference released its preseason poll Monday morning with the DC women’s cross country team slated for a sixth-place finish. The squad looks to prove that ranking wrong, as they train at their preseason camp in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Two Jackets were named HCAC Runners to Watch in senior Erika DeBos and sophomore Brianna Rodriguez.
