Recent graduate appears on television game show
DEFIANCE, Ohio – Malia Ferry (Milford, Ohio/Milford), a recent Defiance College graduate and student-athlete over the past four years, recently appeared on “Let’s Make a Deal,” a CBS television game show filmed in the central San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles. Ferry was one of the contestants featured in the May 20, 2020 episode.

Honoring 2020 Spring Sports Seniors: Women’s Track and Field
This week, in conjunction with the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, Defiance College and its athletic department are honoring seniors who were part of spring sports in 2020. Women’s track and field is the fourth sport featured and the seniors on this year’s team included Madi Bowman (Eaton, Ohio/Eaton), Malia Ferry (Milford, Ohio/Milford), Blake Newman (Jackson, Mich./Lumen Christi) and Kat Wicher (Toledo, Ohio/Whitmer).

DEFIANCE, Ohio - Over the last four years, Madi Bowman (Eaton/Eaton) has been a member of the Defiance College women’s track and field and soccer programs. Bowman has left her impression on DC athletics and was looking toward a promising outdoor track and field season before the coronavirus cut her career short.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Women’s and men’s track and field, because of eight individual titles since 2011, are highlighted on this date, April 21, in recent Defiance College athletics history while the softball team swept a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader two years ago. Also, in baseball, Defiance has two HCAC wins since 2013.

CARMEL, Ind. – Defiance College’s Madi Bowman (Eaton/Eaton) was named the Heartland Collegiate Athlete Conference Athlete of the Week for women’s indoor track and field. Bowman tabs her first honor of the season as she takes home the Field Athlete of the Week award as voted on by the conference sports information directors.
