Bowman, seeking to fight her way to an NCAA Division III Indoor Nationals appearance in the weight throw, took on a small field at Anderson. The senior tallied a mark of 16.78m, just shy of her personal best 16.85m toss set earlier this season.
The result landed Bowman in second place at the invitational while topping third by over three meters.
Currently, Bowman stands third in the Great Lakes Region and 23rd in the nation.
The Yellow Jackets will return to action as they conclude the indoor season with the Polar Bear Final Qualifier on March 6-7. Action at Ohio Northern is slated to begin at 12:00 p.m.
