Perkins, Hilton Lead DC Harriers to Fifth-Place Finish
ANDERSON, Ind. – Senior Justin Perkins and freshman Josh Hilton led the way for the men’s cross country team at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships held at Anderson University on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets finished fifth in the field.
ANDERSON, Ind. – Senior Justin Perkins and freshman Josh Hilton led the way for the men's cross country team at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships held at Anderson University on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets finished fifth in the field.
Perkins ended the event in 17th with a time of 27:20.81, while Hilton placed 20th with a final time of 27:42.58. Perkins and Hilton both recieved All-HCAC Honorable Mention status for their performances. Sophomore Joe Davis finished 23rd with a race of 27:57.03, and junior Hayden Krick posted a time of 28:24.63 to end the day in 30th place. Rounding out the day for DC was senior Aaron Fraley, who completed the course in 28:48.98 to come in 39th. Fraley was also named to the All-Sportsmanship Team following the meet.
The Yellow Jackets will return to the cross country course on Saturday, November 12, when they travel to Oberlin College for the NCAA Regional Championships. Race time is set for 11:00 am.
