Wrestling celebrates seniors and alumni, wins dual against Ancilla
Defiance, Ohio - The Defiance College wrestling team celebrated senior and alumni night Thursday night as the Yellow Jackets wrestled Marian University's Ancilla College Chargers. Defiance won the dual, 34-6.
At 141, Ancilla's Bryan Chavero defeated Kliever Joseph by decision. At 149, Ancilla's Reese Hamblen defeated Brent Eicher by decision.
Shamique Bryant (157), Alejandro Castro (165), Joey Perez (184), and Kelvin Ruffin (197) all won by forfeit.
In the 174 matchup, Keringten Martin earned a major decision over Jaybreon Litsey.
In the heavyweight weight, Rigo Villa won by fall over Sergio Bueno.
In exhibition play:
Ancilla's Chris Bullock defeated Brandon Ruiz by fall at 141.
Alejandro Castro won by fall at 157, Jack Minner won with a major decision at 184, and Lesly Fleurissaint was victorious at heavyweight by pin.
