
Track and Field schedule released for Yellow Jackets' upcoming 2024-25 season
DEFIANCE, Ohio - Defiance College track and field released the approaching 2024-25 season schedule beginning with the indoor portion set to begin at home on December 6, the DC Athletic Department announced on Thursday.
The Yellow Jackets men's and women's programs will compete around the region and beyond in a total of 13 scheduled meets with sights set on qualifying for the indoor and outdoor national championships. Beginning at the DC Early Bird Open, the Yellow Jackets will compete in six indoor events and seven outdoor meets. Defiance is set to host two indoor meets at the George M. Smart Center with the Early Bird Open on Dec. 6 and the annual Dick Small Invitational on Jan. 17.
The indoor schedule will see Defiance travel to a few NCAA Division II universities during the winter season before being hosted by several Division III schools in the spring outdoor season. Mixed into these regional events are plans to travel south to kick off the outdoor season in Florida. Six of the events on the indoor and outdoor schedule are meets with the Yellow Jackets as returning guests to Ashland, Grand Valley State, Berea, Tiffin and Manchester.
