DC trailed throughout, failing to grab a single lead for the second-straight game, as Anderson netted the first six points and quickly opened an 18-7 spread. A Defiance trey would cut the lead to eight, before AU scored the next five and cruised to the 42-21 lead at the half.
Anderson (13-5, 9-2 HCAC) pushed the cushion to 24 with a 7-4 spurt to open the final stanza, before Defiance used a 10-2 rally to climb within 16 points with 15:48 to play. The Jackets would get no closer however, as the Ravens logged the next six points and maintained a 20-point cushion over the final 9:36 of action on the way to the 85-56 victory.
DC had no answer on the interior, as Anderson's starting post players combined for 15 field goals in 25 tries for 41 points, 17 rebounds and a 14-point edge off of points in the paint. The Jackets countered by hoisting up 20 three-point attempts but only connected on five, while getting beaten on the boards for the fifth-straight outing.
The road will not get any easier for the Yellow Jackets (10-8, 5-6 HCAC) as they head to Hanover (12-5, 8-3 HCAC) on Saturday, looking to snap their longest losing streak since dropping nine in a row in 2006. Tip is slated for 3:00 pm.
