Bio

Cole Recker joined the Defiance football staff as the Tight End/Fullback Coach in 2024 after spending five seasons with the Yellow Jackets. He is also the head coach of the new women's flag football team that is set to arrive in Spring 2027.

During his time as a player, Recker was a quarterback, tight end, and punter and played in 35 career games. He was an All-Conference performer as a tight end in 2022 and also garnered two Academic All-HCAC Awards as a Yellow Jacket. He also served as team captain for two seasons and was a two-time recipient of the "Uncommon Man of the Year" team award.

Recker is a native of Colorado Springs, Colo. and earned two degrees from Defiance College. He completed his bachelor's degree in criminal justice in 2022 and his master's in business administration in 2024.
