2008 at Defiance: Made major strides at the plate as a sophomore … Set career highs in several statistics and led DC with 132 at bats, nine doubles, three home runs, 16 runs batted in and 59 total bases from his leadoff slot … Ranked second on team with 21 runs scored and a .447 slugging, while ending third with a .295 batting average … Average jumped to .391 in Defiance victories … Rapped out an extra-base hit in 12 games … Ended year on nine-game hitting streak … Ranked third among all Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference players with 92 at bats in league games … Named Honorable Mention All-HCAC.
