Bio

Cole Recker joined the Defiance football staff as the Tight End/Fullback Coach in 2024 after spending five seasons with the Yellow Jackets. During his time as a player, Recker was a quarterback, tight end, and punter and played in 35 career games. He was an All-Conference performer as a tight end in 2022 and also garnered two Academic All-HCAC Awards as a Yellow Jacket. He also served as team captain for two seasons and was a two-time recipient of the "Uncommon Man of the Year" team award.

Recker is a native of Colorado Springs, Colo. and earned two degrees from Defiance College. He completed his bachelor's degree in criminal justice in 2022 and his master's in business administration in 2024.
