Women's Soccer defeated by rival Bluffton

The Yellow Jacket Women's Soccer team was defeated by conference opponent and rival Bluffton, 3-0.

The Basics:

• Records: Defiance (3-12, 0-7-0), Bluffton (4-9-1, 3-4-0) 

• Location: Alumni Field - Bluffton, OH

Inside the Numbers:

• Yellow Jacket Goalkeeper Sarah O'Shea led the way with 15 saves as she faced 18 shots on goal.

• Melissa Bixler led the Yellow Jackets with 2 shot attempts. 

• Brianna Snider and Clover Worrell each added one shot attempt in the game.

• Lexi Coward played a full 90 minutes. 

• Bluffton outshot the Yellow Jackets, 34-4.

• Bluffton led the way in corner kicks, totaling 3.  

• Emma White, Kelsie Gladieux, and Clara Matthews scored for the Beavers. 

The Difference:

• The Beavers were able to outshoot the Yellow Jackets, 34-4.

  • 19 of those attempts came in the first half.  

• Bluffton recorded 2 saves, both of those being on goal attempts. 

• Bluffton was able to rotate their full roster into the contest.
