Women's Soccer victorious over Mount Mary

The Defiance women's soccer team defeated Mount Mary University 3-2 Sunday afternoon in the rain and wind.

• Defiance put lots of pressure on the Blue Angels goalkeeper in the first half.

• Mount Mary evened the score two minutes into the second half on Sam Reyes' goal.

• The Yellow Jackets would respond as Sarah O'Shea scored two goals in a span of five minutes to regain a 3-1 advantage.

• Mount Mary responded again as Sam Reyes found the back of the net in the 75th minute to get back within one.

• From there, both teams had a few opportunities to score but the goalkeepers held strong.

• Defiance had a 26-8 shot advantage over Mount Mary.
