FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Yellow Jackets traveled to Franklin, Indiana for a night game against the Grizzlies. Franklin College topped Defiance College, 4-0.

FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Yellow Jackets traveled to Franklin, Indiana for a night game against the Grizzlies.  Franklin College topped Defiance College, 4-0.

It was a tough trip for DC (2-11, 0-3 HCAC) who wasn't able to get much going on offense against Franklin (7-2-2, 3-0 HCAC).

DC's defense played strong for DC throughout the contest, especially early.

Franklin was held scoreless by June Delgreco (Dearborn Heights, Mich. / Crestwood) and her defense for nearly the first 30 minutes of the game.

The Grizzlies scored their first goal in the 29th minute.

Delgreco was able to put a stop to three shots in her time in goal and Meredith Remy (Mansfield, Ohio / Ontario) put a stop to another two when she was in goal for DC.

Despite the four goals against the Yellow Jackets, they held the Franklin offense in check more than any other conference opponent has so far this year.  The Grizzlies took 16 and 14 shots in their two other Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchups.  DC's defense held Franklin to 12 shots.

Franklin was also averaging 10.5 shots on goal coming into the matchup with the Yellow Jackets.  DC gave up nine shots on goal.

DC will be back in action on Wednesday when they welcome in Anderson for another HCAC matchup.  Start time is set for 4 pm.
