Seniors Karly Smith (Parma, Ohio / Parma) and Kim Bingley (Ottawa, Ohio / Ottawa-Glandorf) were named to All-HCAC Second Team along with junior Lindsay Bubnick (Vandalia, Ohio / Butler).
Smith led the Lady Jackets in points this season with 16 points. She also tied as the team leader in goals with six on the season. She ends her career as DC's all-time leader in points with 44 and tied as the career leader in goals with 17.
Bingley was the leader of the defense this year that was able to help the backline to put up three shutout wins. Along with helping with the shutouts, she also regularly turned away threats that the opposition brought into her territory. Bingley started in all 19 games and played over 1700 minutes on the season.
Bubnick had a stellar junior campaign. She tied Smith for the team leader in goals this season with six. She also finished second on the team with points putting up 13 on the season. Her career totals now total 30 points and 13 goals, which puts her in third in both categories.
Junior Chelsie Moyer (Tipp City, Ohio / Tippecanoe ) was named Honorable Mention All-HCAC for the Lady Jackets. Moyer was another crucial leader this season for DC on the defensive side of the field. She started in all 19 games and played all 1751 minutes this season.
Bibiana Parra (Indianapolis, Ind. / Ben Davis) was named to the HCAC All-Sportsmanship Team this season. The senior started the season off great, starting in all six games and scoring a goal. Her season was then cut short due to an injury that she would not return from. Parra kept a positive attitude though and continued to support her teammates both on and off the field for the remaining season.
The awards wrap up the season for the Yellow Jackets, who finished the 2013 campaign with a 3-5-1 record in conference play and 6-11-2 overall.
