Inside The Numbers
- Senior Taylor Day led Defiance with a career-high 22 points off the bench to go along with five rebounds and three steals.
- Junior Taylor Steinbrunner added 14 points and five rebounds.
- Sophomore Cait Good made her first start of the season and tied her career-high in points with 11 while recording five rebounds.
- Junior Lexie Sparks added eight points and tied junior Lauren Criblez for the team lead in assists with six.
- Junior Nicole Sims recorded a career-high 10 assists.
- As a team, Defiance went 28-of-68 (.412) from the field and shot 6-of-15 (.400) from behind the arc.

The Difference
- After Defiance took a 4-1 lead early the Beavers battled back with an 11-0 run that helped them take a 15-13 lead after the first quarter.
- The Yellow Jackets opened the second quarter with a 10-0 run over the first three minutes of the frame and outscored the Beavers 20-11 in the quarter.
- The visitors outscored Defiance 22-13 in the third in a back-and-forth quarter.
- After Bluffton took a late lead the Yellow Jackets tied the game with four converted free throws in the final 30 seconds to force overtime.
- In the extra frame, the Beavers rallied to win by outscoring Defiance 13-8.
- Each team forced 14 turnovers but the Yellow Jackets were able to score 17 points off turnovers while the Beavers only managed five.
