The Defiance women's basketball team suffered their first Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference loss of the season on Wednesday night falling to Manchester 68-58.

- Sophomore McKenzie Cooper led Defiance with career-high 14 points off the bench.
- Junior Taylor Steinbrunner added 13 points while junior Lexie Sparks chipped in 10 off the bench.
- Junior Lauren Criblez led all players with seven rebounds while Sparks and senior Nysha Speed each grabbed six boards.
- Junior Nicole Sims dished out a game-leading six assists.
- The Yellow Jackets went 22-of-52 (.423) from the floor and 6-of-16 (.375) from the three-point line.
- The Spartan offense was led by Macy Miller who scored a game-high 17 points
- Miranda Bieghler chipped in with 15 points and Bridget Nash added 13.

- The Yellow Jackets took an early lead 22-12 lead in the first quarter.
- The Spartans cut the lead down two by outscoring Defiance 17-9 in the second quarter.
- Manchester had a strong second half to pull off a 68-58 win.
