- Senior Nysha Speed led Defiance with 12 points and nine rebounds.

- The Battling Bishops held off the Yellow Jackets in the second half and forced a turnover and scored the game-winning layup with 15 seconds left on the clock to escape with the win.
- OWU scored 17 points off of Defiance turnovers while the Yellow Jackets managed four such points.
