Silcox named HCAC Hitter of the Week

CARMEL, Ind. - Senior Brooke Silcox has been named the HCAC Softball Hitter of the Week as the league announced the weekly athletes of the week yesterday afternoon (May 6). 

This is the second time in her career that she has been named the conference hitter of the week as she was also tabbed the hitter of the week back in April of 2022. 

In the five games last week, Silcox went 8-for-18 at the plate (.444 average) with six runs batted in and scored one run in each of the five games as the Yellow Jackets closed out the regular season this past week. She recorded two multi-hit games during the week, game one against Manchester and game two against Anderson. 

The Yellow Jackets are set to compete in the HCAC Tournament this week and opens with Manchester on Thursday morning at 10 a.m. in Lexington, Ky. All games in the tournament will be played at Transylvania University.
