
Yellow Jackets Open Season at Manchester (Ind.)
NORTH MANCHESTER, IND. – The 2015 cross country season began with the Yellow Jacket men’s team competing against three other schools at the annual Hokum Karem meet hosted by Manchester (Ind.) University.
NORTH MANCHESTER, IND. – The 2015 cross country season began with the Yellow Jacket men's team competing against three other schools at the annual Hokum Karem meet hosted by Manchester (Ind.) University.
The event consisted of teams of two or three running an eight mile relay where the runners alternated each mile.
Defiance was led with an 11th place finish by the junior duo of Colin Krick (Hicksville /Antwerp) and Clayton Bruggeman (St. Henry) with a total time of 43:13.2.
Not far behind was junior Jacob Rindler (St. Henry) and freshman Daren Gies (Plymouth) placing 15th overall in a time of (46:01.7). Junior Zach Roush (Nashville, Ind. / Brown County), junior John Seeley (Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. /Sault Area) and freshman Stephan Beasley (Westerville / Oakstone Academy) followed in at 20th place (47:57.5).
The next event for the men will be on Saturday, Sept. 5 at 10:00 am for the Franklin (Ind.) College Invitational in Shelbyville, Ind.
