
DC Competes in the JennaStrong Fall Classic
WILMINGTON, OHIO – The Defiance College men’s cross country team traveled to Wilmington, Ohio to compete in the JennaStrong Fall Classic hosted by Wilmington College and finished 25th with a team score of 697.
WILMINGTON, OHIO – The Defiance College men's cross country team traveled to Wilmington, Ohio to compete in the JennaStrong Fall Classic hosted by Wilmington College and finished 25th with a team score of 697.
Defiance was led by junior Clayton Bruggeman (St. Henry) who finished 81st with a time of 27:36.0. Junior Colin Krick (Hicksville) had the second fastest time for the team of 28:16.1, crossing the line 137th. Junior Zach Roush (Nashville, Ind. /Brown County) and freshman Stephan Beasley (Westerville/Oakstone Academy) finished in 28:56.3 and 30:53.2, respectively. Rounding out the scoring times for Defiance was freshman Daren Gies (Plymouth) who crossed the line in 31:41.7. Junior John Seeley (Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. /Sault Area) also competed for Defiance and finished with a time of 33:53.9.
The Purple and Gold will return to action on Saturday Oct. 31 when they travel to Shelbyville, Ind. to compete in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by Franklin (Ind.) College. The meet is scheduled to begin at noon.
