DC Has 19 Named Academic All-HCAC

GREENWOOD, IND. – The Defiance College fall athletic teams had 19 student-athletes named to the Tom Bohlsen All-Academic Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference list for the fall semester.

The Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC award is given to those student-athletes in the HCAC with a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.5 and participate in varsity athletics.  The student-athletes are also full-time students and have completed a full academic year.  The award is named after Tom Bohlsen who was the first commissioner of the HCAC from 1998 to 2008.

DC had 19 students selected to the Academic All-HCAC list.  Six members of the Yellow Jacket football team made the list for the second consecutive year.  The men's soccer team also had six individuals named Academic All-HCAC and the women's soccer team had four players earn the recognition.  The women's cross country team, the men's cross country team and the volleyball team all had one student-athlete represented.
