Davis, Krick Finish Fourth at Hokem Karem for DC Harriers

N. MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Defiance College men's cross country team got off to a good start on the season as junior Joe Davis and senior Hayden Krick paired to finish in fourth place at the Manchester College Hokem Karem.

The Yellow Jacket tandem finished with a time of 39:58:00 which was a mere 28 ticks off the first place time. Also, their time was almost a whole three minutes faster than the best time DC posted last season when Joe Davis and Madison Murphy ran the race in 42:56.00.

Sophomore Josh Hilton and junior Madison Murphy were the second pair to finish for DC as they came in with a ninth-place time of 42:07.00. Right behind them were freshman Jacob Whisler and sophomore Troy Parrett with a time of 42:39:00.

Indiana Tech won the event with a total time of 1:59:46.00 and 10 points. Defiance posted a total of 2:04:44.00 and 21 points.

Defiance returns to action next Saturday, September 8 when they travel to Bluffton for the Bluffton Invitational.
