OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. - Defiance College men's golf competed in the team's fourth of five fall tournaments on Tuesday at the Lourdes Fall Tournament at The Legacy Golf Club.
The Yellow Jackets shot a 343 as a team to finish 14th among 15 total teams in the competition. Aquinas took the top team spot with a 301 to finish six shots ahead of host Lourdes and fellow WHAC foe Cleary.
On the individual front, Tiffin's Cam Moreland earned medalist honors with an even-par 72. Jordan Walford led the Yellow Jackets for the third straight tournament with a 77, good to place him tied for 15th. First-year players Noah Leslie and Zack Palmer shot 87 and 88 respectively followed by Alex Moritz with a 91 and Bretton Basford's 93.
The next competition for the Yellow Jackets will be in two week for the WHAC Fall Preview, a 36-hole event that begins on Sept. 30. That tournament will be DC's final fall golf tournament before returning to action in the spring.
