
Anderson shoots past Yellow Jackets 102-84
The Defiance College men's basketball team trailed by 18 at halftime and was unable to gain any ground on Anderson as the Ravens topped the Yellow Jackets Wednesday evening in an offensive shootout, 102-84.

Landen Swanner led Defiance with 22 points and five rebounds.

Evan Park added a career high 14 points off the bench and Clay McCorkle scored 10.

Jakob Trevino finished with nine points, a new career high.

Gavin Dowling led the Ravens with 19 points and Camden Smith finished with 15.

Bryson Huckeby grabbed six rebounds for Anderson.

Anderson outrebounded Defiance, 39-26.
First Half:

Anderson started the scoring with a three from Jordan Gadis and the Ravens extended that into a 12-0 run to start the game.

Jakob Trevino knocked down a three to get Defiance on the board.

Landen Swanner hit a three to trim into the deficit and the Yellow Jackets trailed 37-26 with 4:30 remaining.

Anderson scored four straight points to end the half and two free throws from Camden Smith gave the Ravens a 53-35 lead going into halftime.
Second Half:

Cole Wojciechowski drained a jump shot to start the second half scoring for the Yellow Jackets.

Anderson extended their lead and led by 26 with 12:37 remaining after a dunk from Alex Hunt.

Evan Park nailed a jumper with 11:35 left and Anderson's Bryson Huckeby answered with a layup to extend the lead to 27 and that was the largest lead of the night for the Ravens.

Anderson still led by 27 with 6:39 left after a three from Fred Shropshire.

Defiance answered with a 6-0 run. Will Gelhausen made three free throws and Landen Swanner knocked down a three.

The last points for Defiance was a jump shot from Jakob Trevino.
