
Jordan makes history in 88-76 loss to Transylvania
After the two teams went to the locker room knotted at 40, Transylvania led the entire second half to take down the Yellow Jackets 88-76 Saturday afternoon. In the loss, Marell Jordan made history. Jordan knocked down two free throws with 3:14 remaining in the first half. Those two points gave him 1,500 for his career and became the 10th Yellow Jacket to reach that milestone.

Te Jones knocked down a free throw to tie the game at 40 going into halftime.
Second Half:

The Pioneers lit it up from downtown to start the second half. They knocked down their first four three-point attempts that propelled them to a 56-50 lead at the first media timeout.

Transy used a 9-2 run to take an 11-point lead with 9:30 remaining.

Jabryis Heidelburg momentarily stopped the run with a layup to bring the deficit down to nine.

Transy led 78-66 with 6:29 remaining after two free throws from Colby Napier.

A layup from Marell Jordan cut the deficit to eight with three minutes remaining but that was as close as Defiance would get as Transylvania came away victorious.

The aforementioned run from the Pioneers proved to be the difference maker in the game as Transylvania created separation and kept the Yellow Jackets at bay the rest of the way.
