
Cold shooting dooms Men's Basketball at Mount St. Joseph
The Defiance College men's basketball team closed out 2022 with a road conference game at Mount St. Joseph. Defiance only trailed by three at halftime but quickly watched the Mount St. Joseph lead swell. The Yellow Jackets managed only four second half field goals thanks to ice cold shooting and lost, 67-34.

The difference in the first half was shooting behind the arc. The Lions made four compared to only one by the Yellow Jackets. The Lions led by three at halftime.

The Lions quickly extended their lead to 18 points as they started the second half on a 15-0 run.

Marell Jordan converted a fastbreak layup to finally halt the run.

Defiance shot 16 percent from the field in the second half and Mount St. Joseph shot 55 percent.

Mount St. Joseph outscored Defiance 41-11 in the second half.
