Men's Basketball defeated by Anderson in return to the court

In their first game since New Year's Day the Defiance men's basketball squad hit the road to face Anderson in an HCAC matchup. The Yellow Jackets were defeated 80-52 in the contest.

Inside The Numbers

• Sophomore Dejsani Beamon paced the Yellow Jacket offense with 14 points.
• Junior Avonte Jones scored 12 points off the bench, matching his season-high.
• Senior Marell Jordan added 11 points.
• Senior Tyler Andrew led Defiance in rebounds with six.
• As a team, the Yellow Jackets went 22-of-52 (.423) from the field and shot 2-of-10 (.200) from behind the arc.
• Tate Ivanyo led the Ravens with 18 points.
• Maurice Knight recorded a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds while also adding five rebounds and three blocks.

The Difference

• The Ravens controlled the game from wire to wire and held a 41-24 lead at the half.
• Anderson outrebounded Defiance 38-26 and scored 17 points off Defiance's 16 turnovers.
