
Parker Headlines All-HCAC Selections For Men's Basketball

Parker earns his second career All-HCAC honor after garnering first-team accolades a season ago. This season, Parker led the team in several statistical categories that included: points (382), points per game (15.3), field goals made (128), field goal attempts (337), three-pointers made (79), three-point attempts (242), free-throw percentage (83.9 percent) and steals (34). His 242 three-point attempts were a single-season record, breaking his own mark which he set last season with 217 attempts.
Parker scored in double figures in 17 games, including six games of 20 or more points and a career-high 41 points in a win against Franklin (Ind.) College on Feb. 4. He also grabbed 119 rebounds to average 4.8 rebounds per game to rank second on the team. In addition, Parker was tied for second in assists with 43 and had seven blocked shots.
For his career at DC, Parker played in 80 games and started 55. He scored 923 points (11.5 ppg.) while shooting 41.0 percent (324-of-790) overall from the field. He also ends his career with a 35.4 shooting percentage from three-point range (201-of-568) with his 568 attempts putting him third on the program's all-time list. Parker grabbed 285 total rebounds (3.6 rpg.) to go along with 114 assists, 86 steals and 17 blocks. Parker began his collegiate playing career at Earlham (Ind.) College where he scored 237 points bringing his all-time career scoring mark to 1,160 points.
Holmes was selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team after a season that saw him play in 25 games and started 17. He finished fourth on the team in scoring with 210 points and 8.4 ppg. Holmes shot 42.0 percent from the floor (71-of-169) for the season and 38.2 percent (26-of-68) from three-point range. In addition, he was amongst the team leaders in free-throw shooting at 72.4 percent (42-of-58).
Holmes scored in double figures in eight games in 2016-17, including two games of 20 or more points with a career-high 23 points in both contests.
In addition to his scoring and shooting totals, Holmes grabbed 90 total rebounds (28 offensive and 62 defensive) to average 3.6 boards per game. He was tied with Parker for second on the team in assists (43) and also had 14 steals and three blocks.
For his career, Holmes played in 77 games and started 43. He ends his DC career with 502 points (6.5 ppg.) with a 40.9 overall shooting percentage (170-of-416). He also shot 31.3 percent (45-of-144) from three-point range and 73.1 percent (117-of-160) at the free-throw line. Holmes tallied 218 rebounds (77 offensive and 141 defensive) for a 2.8 rpg. average. He also tallied 107 assists, 32 steals and 11 blocks.
Holmes also started out his playing career at Earlham before transferring to DC prior to his sophomore season. While at Earlham, he scored 283 points to bring his all-time collegiate scoring mark to 785 points.
