
Defiance Men's Hoops Picked Seventh in HCAC Poll
GREENWOOD, IND.- The Defiance College men's basketball team was picked to finish seventh in the 2016-17 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches Poll.

The Yellow Jackets received 53 points to place seventh overall. Mount St. Joseph University was tabbed as the preseason favorite to capture the HCAC title with 93 points and six first-place votes. Transylvania (Ky.) University was second with 74 points, and Hanover (Ind.) College rounded out the top three with 73.
DC also had three players named to the "Players to Watch" list in seniors Michael Parker (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence North), Chris Holmes (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence North), and Devin Mangas (Leipsic).
The Yellow Jackets will begin the 2016-17 season on Tuesday, Nov. 15 in Angola, Indiana where they will take on Trine (Ind.) University. Tipoff is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
