
NABC names Edwards to All-Star Game
DEFIANCE, Ohio – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) placed Bernard Edwards on its 2015 Reese’s Division III College All-Star Game Roster.

Edwards (Detroit, Mich./Warren Cousino) was the only player from the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference named to the All-Star Game.
The game will be played on Saturday, March 21, at 12:30 pm. It is a part of the 2015 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship and will be played prior to the Championship Game. The teams are composed of two seniors from each of the eight regions.
Edwards helped lead the Yellow Jackets to a NCAA Tournament berth this season. It was DC's first berth in five years. DC upset defending national champion and No. 2 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in the first round.
Edwards started all 29 games this past season and led the team in scoring at 21.0 points per game. He led the team and the HCAC in points scored (610) and was second in the conference in points per game. Edwards also led the team in field goals made (199), field goal attempts (453), three-point attempts (161), free-throws made (151), free-throw attempts (178) and was second in both rebounding (5.2 rpg.) and blocked shots (26). He scored in double figures in all but two games this past season, including 12 games of 20 or more points and four games of 30 or more points. In addition to earning All-Region accolades, Edwards has also earned first-team All-HCAC honors as well as being named the 2014-15 HCAC Player of the Year.
In three seasons and 76 career games, Edwards surpassed the 1,000-point plateau, becoming the 47th player in program history to do so and currently ranks 25th on the all-time scoring list with 1,224 points. He ends his career with a 43.9 lifetime shooting percentage (404-of-920), 35.3 percent (118-of-334) from three-point range and 79.3 percent (298-of-376) at the free-throw line. In addition, Edwards recorded 344 rebounds (4.5 rpg.), 123 assists, 64 blocks and 36 steals.
