15 student-athletes named to Winter Academic All-HCAC list

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference released its Academic All-Conference Honorees list today for the winter semester and Defiance College was well represented with 15 student-athletes making the list.

The Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC award is given to those student-athletes in the HCAC with a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.5 and participate in varsity athletics.  The student-athletes are also full time students and have completed a full academic year.  The award is named after Tom Bohlsen who was the first commissioner of the HCAC from 1998 to 2008.

DC was able to place 15 students on the Academic All-HCAC list.  The represented teams are; women's track and field with five student-athletes, women's basketball with four, men's basketball and men's track and field with two each, and men's and women's swimming with one apiece.
