DC's Wolfrum and Brown Net HCAC Accolades

Defiance College was represented by sophomore Logan Wolfrum and junior Anthony Brown on the 21-man list, with Wolfrum being named First-Team and Brown taking Honorable Mention status.

The backcourt duo of Wolfrum and Brown accounted for 48.5 percent of DC's scoring during the 2010-2011 season, teaming for 36.4 points per game to help the Yellow Jackets (13-12) to their fifth-straight winning season.
Wolfrum received his second All-HCAC nod in as many years with the Jackets, joining Transylvana's Brandon Rash as the only two sophomores to be named First-Team All-HCAC this season. Wolfrum led the conference in field goals and free throws made, en route to topping the charts with 21.6 points per game. The Defiance, Ohio native led all sophomores and freshman in the nation in scoring and ranked 19th overall. Wolfrum led DC in scoring in 17-of-25 games, poured in at least 20 points 12 times and cracked double figures in scoring in all but one contest.
Wolfrum did more than fill the nets however, as the point guard also paced the HCAC and ranked 35th in the nation with 5.3 assists per game, ranked second in the conference with 36.1 minutes played per game and second with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.8. The Ayersville High product was seventh in the league with 4.5 defensive rebounds per game and 12th with 5.0 total boards per outing. Wolfrum was a four-time HCAC Player of the Week, made a pair of appearances on the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week and became the first player in Defiance College's NCAA Division III era to post 500 points, 100 assists and 100 rebounds in a single season.
Brown also bagged his second-straight All-HCAC selection, earning Honorable Mention honors for the second year in a row. The shooting guard did his best work from the free throw line, leading the league and ranking second in the nation with a 92.5 percent clip during the regular season. The Glenview, Illinois native also rated fourth in the league and set a new career high with 14.8 points per night, while ranking among the HCAC's finest from beyond the arc. Brown ranked eighth with a 36.6-percent clip from three-point range and was 10th with 1.6 treys per contest.
Defiance is set to return all 15 lettermen from the roster for the 2011-2012 campaign and will look to return to the HCAC's upper echelon, after seeing seven of its 12 defeats come by five points or less this season.
