DC led from wire to wire for the second-straight time, as Brown opened the scoring with a deuce and went on to hit four of his first six attempts to push the Jackets to a 12-4 lead just over four minutes into the action.
The lead would continue to swell, with another Brown jumper doubling up the Lions at 28-14. Back-to-back triples and a layup from Kyle Tietje would extend the Jackets' lead to 41-21 and DC would cruise to a 52-26 cushion at the half.
Defiance dominated the opening 20 minutes of play by shooting 58.3 percent from the floor and gaining a 30-11 advantage on the glass. The Jackets repeatedly beat the Mount down the court for several baskets on the way to piling up a 17-0 edge in fast-break points.
DC's lead would never dip below 20 points in the second half, as the Jackets continued to roll and eventually built an 88-55 lead on a Clay Heitkamp trey with 3:54 left in the game. The 33-point spread would hold, with Defiance coasting to the 92-72 victory.
Defiance followed up its 45-29 lead on the boards against Transylvania in its previous outing with a 51-28 gap against the Lions. DC also ended the game with a 23-2 spread in transition points and saw 11 players crack the scoring column with 12 hauling in at least one rebound.
Brown led the scoring onslaught with 26 points in 30 minutes of work, while Kyle Tietje netted 12 points off the bench on five-of-five shooting in his 11 minutes. Ryan Hicks also played well with nine points and seven rebounds.
Kevin Tietje notched his second-straight double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Logan Wolfrum set a career high with 10 boards and netted 13 points and five assists for his second double-double of the season.
Defiance (8-5, 3-3 HCAC) has now won five of its last six games and will look to stay hot when it plays at Earlham (2-11, 0-6 HCAC) on Wednesday at 7:30 pm.
