Threw one inning with two strikeouts in saving the 3-2 win over Wisconsin Lutheran... Tough-luck loser after giving up an unearned run in the 5-4 extra-inning loss to Haverford... Baseball closes 2021 regular season with Senior Day cancelations

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College baseball team was set to close out its 2021 regular season with Senior Day on Sunday, but the home doubleheader against Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Bluffton University at Defiance High School was canceled due to cold, rainy weather.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Coming off solid seasons the last two years under 14th-year head coach Derek Woodley, the Defiance College baseball team hopes to continue its winning ways when opening the 2021 season with four Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference road games in Indiana this weekend. Defiance is scheduled to face Hanover College in a doubleheader on Saturday at noon before playing two games with Franklin College on Sunday at the same time.

Baseball picked to finish tied for sixth in 2021 HCAC preseason poll

CARMEL, Ind. – Heading into its upcoming season, the Defiance College baseball team is picked to finish tied for sixth among the 10 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference squads, according to the 2021 HCAC Baseball Preseason Poll. The poll was comprised in a vote of the conference’s head coaches and released by the HCAC office on Monday morning.
