Miller and Kain Named HCAC Players of the Week
GREENWOOD, IND. – Junior Eme Miller (Portland, Ind. /Jay County) and Senior Rebecca Kain (Orland, Ind. /Prairie Heights) have been named this week’s Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference “Players of the Week.”
GREENWOOD, IND. – Junior Eme Miller (Portland, Ind. /Jay County) and Senior Rebecca Kain (Orland, Ind. /Prairie Heights) have been named this week's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference "Players of the Week."
Miller led the Yellow Jacket women's cross country team at the JennaStrong Fall Classic (Oct. 16) to a 30th place team finish. She finished second overall out of 343 runners with a school record time of 18:22.4.
Kain helped lead the Yellow Jacket volleyball team to wins over Manchester (Ind.) University (Oct. 14) and Transylvania (Ky.) University (Oct. 17). Kain recorded 22 digs in the 3-2 win over Manchester (Ind.) and 23 digs in the 3-1 win over Transylvania (Ky.).
Miller and the rest of the Yellow Jacket cross country team will return to action on Saturday Oct. 31 when they travel to Shelbyville, Ind. to compete in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by Franklin (Ind.) College. The meet is scheduled to begin at noon. Kain and the rest of the volleyball team will host Anderson (Ind.) University on Wednesday, Oct. 21 in a HCAC match at the Karl H. Weaner Center. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
