Yellow Jackets move to 7-0 in HCAC play

DC (16-10, 7-0 HCAC) topped the Ravens (9-6, 2-4 HCAC) three games to one. After dropping the first set 25-14 to Anderson, DC won the next three 25-19, 25-19, 25-21.
Current HCAC Player of the Week Alicia Kalik (South Lyon, Mich. / South Lyon) led the Yellow Jackets with her second straight double-double. She had 37 assists and 14 digs.
Leading DC in digs was Rebecca Kain (Orland, Ind. / Prairie Heights) with 18. Jaidyn Patridge (Toledo, Ohio / Springfield) contributed with eight digs.
Bree Anderson (Huntertown, Ind. / Carroll) and Meredith Shank (Maumee, Ohio / Springfield) led the way for the Yellow Jackets in kills with 13 apiece. Ari Mahaffey (Porter, Ind. / Chesterton) and Hope Neargarder (Union City, Ohio / Mississinawa Valley) added seven kills and six kills, respectively.
Kain, Kalik, and Sydney Unger (Frankfort, Ind. / Clinton Central) each served up an ace for the Yellow Jackets.
Anderson and Kelsey Tietje (Deshler, Ohio / Patrick Henry) led the way in the block department with two solos and two assisted blocks each.
DC will end conference play with two straight home matches. Up first is Rose-Hulman on Sunday. Start time is set for 1 pm.
