Kain named HCAC Defensive Player of the Week

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Rebecca Kain has been named Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for her play over the weekend.
Kain (Orland, Ind. / Prairie Heights) helped DC to a 3-1 record with stellar play in the back row.
She had 20 or more digs in three of the four games for the Yellow Jackets.
After a 1-1 split in games on day one, Kain came ready to lead DC on day two.
Of her 88 digs over the two day period, 54 came on the second day. Kain helped DC to a 2-0 record on day two and the Yellow Jackets are currently riding a three game win streak.
She saved her best performance for last in a four set match against Webster. Kain set a new career high in digs with 29 in the match. She also added a serving ace in the win.
Kain and the rest of the Yellow Jackets will be back in action on Tuesday. They will be playing in their first home game of the season against Heidelberg. Game time is set to begin at 7 pm.
