Defiance Places 15 on Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC Team
GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its fall honorees for the Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC Team. Defiance College saw 15 student-athletes make the list, raising its total by two from one year ago.
GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its fall honorees for the Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC Team. Defiance College saw 15 student-athletes make the list, raising its total by two from one year ago.
In order to be named an Academic All-HCAC selection, a student-athlete must have completed one full academic year, be enrolled full-time at their institution, be a varsity athlete and possess a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 at the end of the semester preceding the conclusion of the fall season.
DC's group of 15 student-athletes to garner the honor ranked the Yellow Jackets fifth in the league, ahead of Hanover, Transylvania, Manchester and Bluffton. Rose-Hulman led the conference with 37 honorees.
Defiance's standout student-athletes included Joel Billings, Bryant Green, Austin Karcher, Matt King, Ricky Sherrer, Julie Brunsman, Ashton Judis, Danyel Lipps, Jessica Tietje, Matthew Johnson, Chris Kessler, Gene Snyder, Jerika Hennes, Ryan Nusbaum and Kelly Neff.
