Track and Field competes at Wittenberg Invite

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - Defiance track and field traveled to Wittenberg University Saturday afternoon to compete in the Wittenberg Invitational. This meet would be the final tune-up in preparation for the HCAC indoor championships next weekend.

Notable Performances:

• Ja'Qway Janvier finished eighth in the 60 meter dash finals with a time of 7.10 seconds.

• Lisa-Maria Markau finished fifth in the 60 meter dash finals.

• The 4 x 200m relay team of Jonathan Wright-Daniel, Gavin Maratea, Daniel Budwah, and Isaac Miler completed it in 1:33.99 minutes.

• Marlon Brown finished second in the 400 meter dash.

• Lexi Coward recorded a new personal best in the 800 meter run.

• Shyla Pemberton set a new personal best in the 200 meter dash.

Up Next:

• Track and Field will travel to Mount St. Joseph University next Saturday for the HCAC indoor championships. Events begin at 1 p.m.
