Defiance Has 12 Winter Athletes Named Academic All-HCAC

GREENWOOD, IND. – The Defiance College winter athletic teams had 12 student-athletes named to the Tom Bohlsen All-Academic Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference list for the winter sport season.

The Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC award is given to those student-athletes in the HCAC with a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.5 and participate in varsity athletics.  The student-athletes are also full-time students and have completed a full academic year.  The award is named after Tom Bohlsen who was the first commissioner of the HCAC from 1998 to 2008.

DC had 12 students selected to the Academic All-HCAC list.  One member of the Yellow Jacket men's basketball team made the list.  The women's basketball team had three individuals named Academic All-HCAC and the men's indoor track & field team had four athletes earn the recognition.  The women's indoor track & field team also had four players selected Academic All-HCAC.
