Trivett Paces DC at Multi-Event Meet
DEFIANCE, Ohio – Austin Trivett won the decathlon at Defiance College’s first-annual Multi-Event Meet on Saturday, scoring a personal record 5,496 points. Goshen College’s Abri Houser claimed the heptathlon with 3,867 points in the two-day meet.

Trivett recorded the highest-scoring marks in five different events, while tallying 696 points on his way to top honors in the high jump. The sophomore also scored over 600 points in the 100m dash, 110m hurdles and the pole vault, while reaching the 500-point plateau in all but three events.
DC's Aaron Fraley also competed in the event, recording a score of 3,502 in his first-ever decathlon. Fraley's effort was highlighted by a 614-point performance in the 1500m, taking home first-place honors in the event.
Kristin Goldstein was the lone member of the women's track and field team to compete in the meet, finishing fourth with a personal-best 3,372 points. The junior scored over 500 points in three different events, the 100m hurdles, 200m dash and the 800m run.
The Defiance college track and field team will be back in action on Friday, May 8, when it participates in Indiana University's Billy Hayes Invitational.
