Yellow Jackets Overmatched Against Spartans

MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Defiance College women's tennis team dropped its match to Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Manchester by a score of 9-0. The match moves the Yellow Jackets' overall record to 1-5 and HCAC record to 1-3.
At the number one doubles position sophomore Kirsten Wieland and Catie Savage fell just short in a hard fought match by a score of 8-5. DC was not at full strength at Manchester as it had to forfeit matches at three doubles and six singles.
The Lady Jackets next take the courts tomorrow when they return home to take on Ohio Northern at 2:30 p.m. at the newly renovated Dix Tennis Facility.
