DC Tennis Falls to Fightin' Engineers
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Defiance College women’s tennis team fell to Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology by a score of 8-1 on Saturday morning.
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Defiance College women's tennis team fell to Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology by a score of 8-1 on Saturday morning. The loss drops Defiance to 1-4 on the season and 1-2 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action.
The Lady Yellow Jackets were unable to win any sets in singles action but were able to pick up a win at the number three doubles position. Sophomores Tasha Brown and Danielle LaBarbera teamed up to defeat Sarah Hensley and Sonia Sanchez by a score of 8-1.
Defiance is next in action tomorrow when it travels to Lima, Ohio to face Northwestern Ohio at 1:00 p.m. The next home match is on Thursday, September 22 when they will host Ohio Northern at 2:30 p.m. at the Dix Tennis Facility.
