The match began with both teams sharing close to equal possession and having a few good looks at goal.
In the 33rd minute freshman forward Alicia Ledford played a perfect through ball to junior Katie Heitkamp, who had her shot carom off the keeper and into the goal. The goal marks Heitkamp's team leading second goal of the season.
