HIRAM, Ohio – A second half goal by Hiram College's Tara Robinson was the difference in the Defiance College women's soccer team's 1-0 loss to the Terriers on Sunday, September 7. The Jackets fall to 0-3-1 on the season, having lost its last two matches by a combined two goals.
Colleen Cross, who came into the match leading the HCAC in save percentage (.870), tallied nine saves on the day, keeping all but one of the Terriers' 20 shots out of the net. Melissa Alston led DC with two shots, one on goal, while Lauren Ranalli and Katie Finley each recorded one shot on goal.
Defiance returns to the pitch on Wednesday, September 11, when it travels to Angola, Ind. for a match with Trine University. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
