The Defiance wrestling team traveled to Wheaton, Ill. this weekend to compete at the Pete Willson Wheaton Invitational. The Yellow Jackets placed 27th out of 35 teams.

- The meet was hosted by Wheaton College at the Chrouser Sports Complex in Wheaton, Ill.
- Wisconsin-Eau Claire won the event with a score of 136.
- Defiance finished with 10 team points.
Notable Performances
- Senior Rigo Villa reached the fourth round of the consultation bracket and finished the day with three wins.
- Junior Seth Majewski won two matches both by major decision and both by a score of 14-4.
- Junior Alejandro Castro and junior Jack Minner each won matches at the event. Castro won a 3-1 decision while Minner pinned his opponent in 1:59.
